Jesus can work through anyone!

It's only the 4th day of the year and I'm already writing the second blog post of the year..???  No way..???  Yes way.  This is because something happened today that was special. I would normally write this in my diary for myself to remember. However. typing is a lot easier, and I hope I get to encourage some of you through this post as well.  On Monday nights every week, there are a bunch of Christians who come together from different churches with the intention of showing God's love and healing power to people on the streets. I've attended about 4 times before today. Today I wasn't super keen on going, as I didn't feel spiritually high or anything as I hadn't spent much time in prayer with God, or reading the bible. My brother had asked me to go though, I had no valid excuse to not go, I hate letting him down, and if I had stayed home I knew I would not have done much anyway... ...so I went.  We split off into teams, like they normally d...

Give me a high 5 for 2015

My blog has become a place wherein I tell you about one year, and the things I look forward to in the next. so imma get right into it. College for me this year: So this year I started my Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I was really looking forward to college at the beginning of this year. After like 2 weeks, that excitement died down. I was kindof bored for 3 months, as my intake only had 9 people, and I felt a little sad that the A-level and AUSMAT students in my college seemed to be having all the fun. I felt like, oh my god, I walk around college and I know nobody...tis is sad... But then the new ECE intake came in and it felt much better to have more people to talk to. I also joined CF, helped in CF camp and in some other cf revo initiatives. There was also the Acts revo group that did a whole bunch of stuff to bless MCKL students. Things I'm looking forward to in college next year: Being vice-president of the Early Childhood Society. I haven't had many le...

Its the new year! New year, New start, new friendships, new experiences, i'm looking forward to them all. But before diving into this whole new crazy year, let me review the highlights and crazy things I enjoyed from 2014. 1. Working in the kindi from January-April The kids were totally cute. 2. YWAM DTS. My missions adventure! There's so many things I could say about the 6 months I spent with Youth With A Mission, but to put it in simplest form, its the best thing that has happened to me in my 17 years of life. God taught me so much, He really changed my way of thinking and looking at life. The biggest thing i think that I got out of this was learning to recognize His voice and obeying it. I got to see God absolutely transform people, and see so many things that many others don't. When you see people suffering in dire poverty in India, you really realise the important things in life and treasure everything you have. One of the other really big things that happene...

me being a poser In 2 weeks I will be heading to Thailand! We've seen a lot of finances come in from various sources and it's exciting :D We're all in faith and expectant to see how God will provide for us. My team consist of Alana and Alee (our leaders), Marie-Anne, Jayda, Shadrach, Jen, Melanie and Janet. All the 4 Malaysians are in this team, without even any discussion beforehand! Semangat patriotisme hehe :P My team is pretty sweet, we all have different giftings and interests which will be great tools to reach to the people :)                                                              T...

The third month is approaching, which is the middle line. I'm constantly left in disbelief at how time cheats me.                                          Sunrise just outside the building I study in (ywam base) I've really been enjoying my time here. Every week there's so much to learn, not just from classes but also from the people around me. The topic of Relationships was pretty sweet, and so was our speaker for that topic. She has a ministry that reaches out to kids and youth in Thailand. I will be going to Thailand with 7 others for the 'outreach phase' of my time here, so it was great that she got to talk with us about the customs and culture of the people there; informing us of the 'okays' and 'not okays'. The week of 'Father Heart Of God' was so impactful. Our speaker, Dave, is someone I felt so comfortable with and able to share to without fear. It was on this week t...

I've been here for five weeks? LIKE, WHAT. Time flies. I haven't posted pictures yet so here's one, and there's more later :) This is my whole school! As you can see, they're a fun bunch. They're all so different but i love that we all complement each other and we learn from each other in different ways. I'm so thankful to be stuck with such a neat group, I feel really comfortable with them, they inspire and encourage me in my walk with God and with how I relate with people :D Since the last time I posted, we've learned/experienced SO MUCH. Firstly, there was the topic of Repentance and Forgiveness. Man, so intense. For the whole week of lecture I was just feeling the weight of all my sin, really wanting to gain total freedom. I also realised that I had to ask forgiveness from my parents for some things that I didn't even realise i held against them in my heart. This week was like some serious soul searching going on man. On Friday, all of us w...

First two weeks in YWAM Perth

I’ve been here in Perth for two weeks! Missing everyone, but I’ve been busy here too J the base her is great, with friendly people and good food. The dorm where I am staying holds 50 about ppl, so it is pretty hectic but fun too! The first week was more chill, getting to know one another through beach trips and movie nights. We have great staff as well as my fellow friends. There are 29 of us altogether, and we represent  11 differents nationalities. It’s really beautiful seeing so many different  nationalities here, talking about different  cultures and worshipping Jesus altogether with the same heart. On the first week the theme topic was ‘Hearing The Voice Of God’. I learned so much. Our speaker, Matty Taylor, made sure that the first thing we knew was that God wants to speak to each and everyone one of us. He told us to make sure we don’t compare with others concerning when and how God speaks, because He speaks to each of us all differently, depending on how would b...
